Goethe-Zertifikat A1 (Start German 1) Exam Schedule

Locations
The Exam Schedule lists the locations where DEP conducts operator qualification exams. Please consult individual exam pages for additional guidelines, terms and conditions and exam content. If you need special accommodations due to chronic disease, visual or hearing impairment or other limitations make contact with the exam provider and provide the information when you register.
The Faculty Dashboard in Workday has the option of "View My Teaching Schedule", which allows faculty to find their exam schedules. The Registrar's Office also has a list of exam times for the courses that are required to be tested under NYSED regulations. Final exams for evening classes are scheduled during the regular class meeting times of the final exams.

Registration
Students are encouraged to look up the exam schedule online. However it is crucial to note that the exam schedule could alter at any moment. This is why students should check with their instructors to make sure they have the correct date and time for their exam. Students should be sure to print the official list and bring it to their exams.
Students should also be familiar with the rules and conditions of the exam in addition to the exam schedule. These are accessible on the individual exam pages. After registering, students acknowledge that they have read and agree to these conditions and terms.
Exam sites make every effort to accommodate participants who have special requirements. The nature and degree of these needs must be noted on the registration form and confirmed by an attestation from a doctor. The locations for the exam must be able to respect confidentiality and keep it.
If students are scheduled to take three exams on the same day, they must contact their instructor or department in order to schedule a retake test. Although it is possible to take three tests in one day, this can cause a high stress level and could impact the quality of the test. Additionally, the instructor might not be able give a makeup exam on another day.
Students must review the course material prior to taking the test and work on their German skills. The test is a paper-based test that assesses the ability to read, speak, and write in German. Fees
If you have completed your studies at Elan Academy and wish to obtain the Goethe-Zertifikat A1 (start German 1), you'll need to pay the examination fee. This is in addition to the cost of the course.
Practice tests let you get an understanding of the style, wording, and difficulty of the questions on the test. They help you evaluate your level, discover gaps in your knowledge and increase your chances of passing the test.
Please be aware that the fee for exams is not refundable. Exam results can only by emailed and not via telephone.
